My Brother stopped by yesterday to show off his catch. He was Kayak fishing at Baldwin Beach in Paia. He scored a 12 pound Ulua and a little red Kumu..I just had to share..he was so happy :)

He got his finger stuck in it's mouth trying to show me the teeth! haha

Honolulu Bridal Expo...

I ventured over to the island of Oahu for the Hawaii Bridal Expo hosted by BridesClub.com. It started on Friday and ran through today. It was a lot of fun. There were thousands of brides in attendance. My wonderful hubby Nate helped me set up and stayed with me everyday to pass out info to all of the brides. It was really nice to meet so many Brides to be and other wedding vendors at the same time! Honolulu is always a fun city to stay in also. I am looking forward to a great 2008 Wedding Season. Here are a few pics of our booth...

I had the pleasure of working with the Landis family yesterday. There were 32 family members together for a family reunion at the beautiful Kealani Hotel in Wailea. They had a lovely dinner on the lawn overlooking Polo Beach. We had gorgeous sunny weather and an awesome sunset. Joanna joined me to capture their fun evening. Thank you Landis Family...

I had a great time meeting up with the St John family in Kaanapali yesterday. It was a very cloudy evening but we made the best of it. Sara is a photographer also which made my job very easy..they all knew what to do:). They were a very fun family to capture. Thanks you guys for allowing me to photograph your family. Hopefully the next time you are in the islands the sunset will be much more vibrant. We spent close to 2 hour together so I have tons of images to share...

As we were taking this photo Sara had a little visitor nibble on her toes...
I think he wasn't to happy that her toes were invading his space...:)

Joshua & Cheyenne tied the knot on Sunday, December 23rd. The wedding was held at beautiful S. Maluaka Beach in Wailea. We had perfect weather for their special day. An intimate group of family and close friends joined in their celebration. I felt very honored to be capturing their memories. Josh & Cheyenne were both very easy going and really great to work with. They gave us, Joanna & I, lots of time for fun portraits of the two of them. Thanks you guys. I wish you lots of joy and happiness in your new adventure together :)...

The Website Company that I use, Blu Domain, often runs fun photo contests on its blog. I love to visit their blog to see different perspectives and creativity from different photographers around the world. On a whim I entered one of their photo contests last night. I had a great time today at Jere' Jewelry...A fine Jewelry store located in Kihei. I took a few portraits for the owners Raymond and Liza. They needed some portraits for an advertisement that they are running locally. Their new shop is beautiful! They carry such wonderful, sparkly jewelry and gems:) Thanks you guys for spending a few hours with me today...

I had the incredible privilege on Monday of taking maternity photo's for Joanna and Kawaika. We met a Baldwin Beach in Paia. The water was a brilliant shade of blue that morning. Joanna is an amazing photographer and I have been very grateful to work along with her quite a bit this past year. We have had a wonderful time and many fun adventures shooting weddings together :) I have also been able to enjoy watching Joanna's belly grow. Well my little Neo Kitty is Doing well. He is home and has no bad injuries. Hurray...he does have some scar tissue in is eye now which makes him look a bit funny but that's OK as long as he is healthy! I will post some new pics of him soon

A Sad Day..

Last night my sweet little kitten Neo that I have shared pictures of in the past was attacked by a dog. In our neighborhood we have a few dogs that run loose and they have always been nice doggies until they met Neo. Neo is now at the animal hospital and they will see how bad he is...he was too swollen to tell. Hopefully he will recover fine but now I'm a bit leary about ever letting him outside again. They said he was bit and shaken and had a concusion..my poor Neo..my boys are a bit sad. They lost their Bull Terrier last year so they are very worried Neo won't recover
:(..Well I just though I would share so that doggie lovers will remember to tie up their dogs. Kitty lovers..keep kittes inside! I will update when I know more.

I had a great time with Kimberly and Steven yesterday evening. We met at Po'olenalena Beach in beautiful Wailea for sunset engagement photos. I have decided to start off 2008 with a new look. Aihara Visuals main website will be undergoing some major changes and gettting a killer new look! I'm excited! Hopefully a new blog look will follow. I am also working on all of my materials for the January 2008 Bridal Expo in Honolulu. It will be held at the Blaisdell Expo Center. That should be fun! I will be sure to post pictures of my booth. As the wedding season is starting to slow down a bit I am hoping that I will have more time for expanding my creativity. So to start off.. Our new pet Tweety! He's pretty photogenic! Haha :)...

Chris & Analynne were married in Kahului on October 12, 2007. I had the pleasure of spending the day with them. We traveled to Iao Valley for some portraits of the bride, groom & bridal party.
